This year, there has been a lot of ups and downs dating back to the first week of practice. With multiple injuries, roster changes, travel limitations, and more - both teams have had to endure a lot this season. However, that still didn't stop them! The B-Team started the morning off with a thrilling match, with the second set ending 31-33. A tough loss helped fuel them into a win over the University of North Texas. The Bulldogs ended their conference journey with a tough three-set loss to their rivals at the University of New Orleans.
On the other side of the bracket, A-Team started off their morning with a winning double header against Rice University and the University of Oklahoma. Following their win, they continued on with a point-for-point loss to the University of Texas at San Antonio. Taking UTSA to three sets was an tiring battle, but they still weren't done. They continued on to play three more games against Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and the University of Texas. The conference tournament proved to be an exhausting day, playing six back-to-back games with only two "work" breaks in the mix. However, it was the resilience of the Dawgs to push through to a 10th place finish overall - a massive climb from their previous 21st place finish at the beginning of the tournament.
The coaches were extremely proud of how both teams finished. They played their hearts out and left it all out on the court. While neither team finished where they planned to, they knew the grind wasn't over. In just a few short weeks, the Bulldog head to Phoenix, Arizona where they will competet at the National level, with B-Team making the programs first ever appearance!
